I'm having a Tesla trade-in dilemma with my Model 3 vs. Polestar 2 and I am conflicted. Gas prices are crazy here, so everyone wants an EV, making trade-in values insane! I'm leaning to Polestar for the new car warranty and Android Automotive system, but I'm worried about giving up the Tesla's speed. Anyone driven both? Need advice to trade my 2019 Model 3 for the P2 or just stick with the Tesla?

Just stick with your Model 3. One of the things I like about Teslas is their nav system. I really enjoy their software and the unique features it provides, such as displaying the remaining battery range in miles and percentage. Another advantage is the large screen size, and I believe their enhanced cruise control is simply the best.

I'd go for Tesla. No question.

I have driven both, so I understand the dilemma. I would test drive the Polestar a second time, or even a third time, then see how you feel about it. Both have pros and cons, but you know it.

While I appreciate the engineering behind the Model S and X, I find Tesla's overall business practices and leadership style to be deeply concerning. Their environmental impact and labor practices are significant drawbacks for me. I understand the appeal of their vehicles, especially compared to the Model 3, but I simply cannot support a company with such a problematic ethos. I don't consider them a serious competitor to Polestar, which prioritizes sustainability and ethical manufacturing.

If you’ve been eyeing the Polestar for a while, now might be the time to make the leap while your Model 3 is worth more. On the other hand, Tesla’s resale value tends to hold strong even in the long run, so no rush if you’re on the fence. If you do switch, make sure you’ll enjoy the Polestar’s drive because its software and cabin are more traditional than Tesla’s minimalist vibe.
