I’m a huge Tesla fan and I’ve been eyeing the Model S for a while - super excited to buy one soon! I’ve been binge-watching review vids, and noticed that the new Teslas have these annoying fake noises that pop up at low speeds. Honestly, I’m not feeling those sounds at all. Can all those sounds be disabled?

I understand your concern about the warning system and sound, but it's actually a safety feature required by law. It's designed to make the car more visible to pedestrians, especially those who are blind or have low vision.

I don't think the sound is that annoying, and it's probably not even audible inside the car. As for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, those features are optional and can be disabled. However, you'll lose some functionality if you do.

I'm not sure why you'd want to disable the retractable steering wheel. If you don't like it, you can simply choose not to use it.

Tesla takes a different approach to car design compared to traditional automakers. It's worth trying out their features before making assumptions. They've avoided a lot of the mistakes made by other companies.

The Pedestrian Warning System is required by law, so it can’t be turned off entirely, but the good news is that it’s designed to be unobtrusive from inside the cabin; and you might even start to appreciate how they help keep pedestrians safe. If it’s something that really bothers you, you might want to test drive a Model S to see how noticeable it feels in person. Chances are, it’ll be less of an issue than it seems in videos!
