I'm concerned about a recent issue I've had with my Tesla. The car suddenly lost power when the range indicator showed around 8 miles remaining. This is unusual, as I've typically been able to squeeze a few extra miles out of the battery, even when the range was very low.

My Tesla is 5 years old with over 60,000 miles, but the service center insists the battery is healthy. Could it be a software glitch or a hardware problem?

Your BMS doesn't seem to be calibrated properly. Knowing where the bottom is can cause it to go out of balance with the daily 60–80% charges that most people make. Running a few 10–90% charges occasionally is a smart idea.
