Tesla's response to the question about charging a 60kWh Model S to 100% is consistent with their overall advice: frequent full charges can accelerate battery degradation.

Surprisingly the 60kWh Model S has a 75kWh battery pack, but the additional capacity is currently unavailable due to software limitations. A future OTA update is expected to unlock the full capacity of the battery.

That is so weird. There are different information around. Was the information from Tesla corporate or a local store employee? Coz everything else I've heard since the 60 was brought back contradicts that, stating that only 60 can be used for driving discharge even though the full 75 will charge.

An answer from Elon would work better. 🙄 I think the 60kWh battery can be charged to 100% because it is the same as if you would charge the 75kWh to 80%. Am I right?

Charge it to your needs if you don't require 80% every day. I often utilize 40% of the battery because I work 69% and return home with 30%. To minimize battery degradation, you should always keep the car's battery as near to 50% as possible. This implies that you should plug in at 45% and charge to 55% if you only use 10% of the battery each day. Charge to 60% if you use 20%, plug in at 40%, and so forth.
