Need stealthy power for 2023 Model S dashcam

I'm stumped adding a front camera on 2023 Model S LR. Ideally, I'd run the power wire through the firewall for a clean install, but haven't found any grommets in the frunk. Anyone done this on a recent Model S? Open to suggestions, but hoping to avoid the hassle of constantly charging a battery or mounting a solar panel. Thank you!

I run mine using the passenger side firewall grommet. Once inside the car, access this by pulling back the carpet in the passenger footwell and removing any obstructing panels.

How about trying to run the wire through the grommet on the passenger side firewall. Same thought as @AmsLover

You'll need to remove the panels under the frunk to see it. You might also have to pull back the carpet and other panels in the footwell to get to it. It's a bit of a pain, but it's doable.

Why not go for a dashcam that plugs into the OBD-II port? It’s stealthy and doesn’t require hunting for firewall grommets. I’ve been using one for months now and it works great, plus, it’s plug-and-play, so no drilling or wire-running required. Might be worth considering if you’re short on time.

I might know why. Because there is no visual coverage in front of the bumper. Am I right, @matthewgarwood?
