I had a 2014 Model S and experienced a smooth ride with no powertrain issues. I’ve heard similar feedback from other owners of post-2014 vehicles, most of them report fewer powertrain failures. Tesla seems to have addressed these early issues with newer models, focusing on improved reliability and performance. But, I’ve seen some reports about minor glitches from time to time, but nothing as major as the earlier models.

The "fix" for the powertrain was originally announced as drive swaps. My motor has been in good condition ever since I had it replaced at 23,000 miles.

Great to hear your replacement motor has held up well..It seems Tesla’s drive swaps were a good solution for earlier models with powertrain issues.
