I recently got a new Model S Raven edition with a 373-mile EPA range. After charging to 100%, it only shows 359 miles. Is this normal for a new car, or is there already some battery degradation?

It's common for a new Tesla Model S Raven edition to display a full charge range slightly below the EPA-rated 373 miles. Factors like driving habits, temperature, and software algorithms can cause this variance. And a displayed range of 359 miles doesn't necessarily indicate battery degradation.

You remind me of myself when I first got into EV, haha! Congratulations and enjoy the car, sir!

I set the battery display in percentage. It lowers down the range anxiety. 😅

It’s good to know this is normal and not a sign of degradation. I’ll monitor it over time.
