I recently had a scary experience with a P85D loaner. Everything was going smoothly until all the gear indicators turned red, suggesting a potential drivetrain failure. I was stranded, but managed to get the car moving again using a couple of tricks:

Park and Restart: I shifted the car into park, then back into gear.
Power Cycle: I got out of the car, opened and closed the door to power it down, then restarted.

These methods worked for me, but I'm not sure if they'll work in all cases. (y)

Are there any other reliable solutions to try?

Does it matter anymore? You are good now. In case the issues will get back, try again the same method. Though, if those get back, I think a visit to the dealership is mandatory.

Unfortunately, there's no real fix for weird tech stuff. Those tricks you tried are common, but if it keeps happening, you should talk to Tesla. They might know what's wrong.
